Priming

The application of a primer on a cord or a technical braid is done by passing through a primer bath, followed by a drying. The interest of priming is multiple: obtaining a shiny effect, protection against UV, flame retardant, waterproofing, virucidal, bactericidal or fungicidal treatment, gain of rigidity…

Priming is an essential finish for the manufacture of braids and bungee cords intended for use outdoors or in an industrial environment. It guarantees a good behaviour of the product in particular physical conditions.
